Casper is an online, open-response situational judgment test run by Acuity Insights. The current format has 11 scenarios (4 video-response and 7 typed-response) with 2 questions each and takes about 65 to 85 minutes, including optional breaks. Eligibility Requirements for Université de Montréal Pharmacy
- Degree / credits
Applicants must hold a Québec DEC or equivalent, or hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent; university studies without a degree do not independently establish eligibility when the applicant lacks a DEC or equivalent.

- Citizenship
Canadian citizenship or permanent-resident status is required by the application deadline. The PharmD is not offered to applicants applying as international students with a study permit.

French proficiency is required. Applicants may satisfy the requirement through the accepted Québec college French examination, recognized French-language study or proof, or a recognized French test with at least C2 in oral and written comprehension, subject to UdeM’s applicable rules.
Admission pathways
- Autres candidatures: Applicants with university studies or studies outside Québec are considered for the PharmD under its published eligibility and selection rules. Qualification en pharmacie is a separate program for pharmacists trained outside Canada.
Eligible DEC routes include Sciences, lettres et arts, or Sciences de la nature with the specified biology and chemistry competencies. Applicants may instead meet the listed college prerequisites or UdeM’s specified university-course equivalents. Prerequisite college courses completed more than eight years ago trigger a review of retained scientific knowledge.
Other requirements
- Program-entry and placement requirements: Within program deadlines, provide required immunization evidence, complete a Faculty-recognized CPR course, and register with the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec student register. A laptop is required on entry; placement settings require a criminal-record check and may require vaccinations.
