Eligibility Requirements for University of the Pacific International Dental Studies

Degree / credits: A conferred international dental degree, documented by a full-color copy of the school-issued diploma or certificate. Provisional degrees are not accepted.
Language proficiency: TOEFL is required of every applicant, including U.S. citizens, with no exemption for a U.S. degree.

Applicants with dental degrees from any country may apply; proof of a dental licence is not required.

Dental diploma and ECE evaluation: Submit a full-color school-issued dental diploma and ECE course-by-course evaluation through CAAPID; translate non-English diploma documents.
Dental CV: Complete the Qualtrics survey emailed after payment of the Dugoni fee.
Conditional offer requirements: Accepted applicants must provide the enrollment deposit, complete a background check and medical examination, and meet any conditions in their offer.

NBDE Parts I and II (required): Pass both NBDE Parts I and II, or pass INBDE instead.
INBDE (one of several accepted): Passing INBDE satisfies the national board examination requirement instead of NBDE Parts I and II.
DAT (not required): DAT is not required for IDS.
TOEFL (required): Minimum overall score 4.5 on the current scoring scale. Have ETS send scores to ADEA, code B451; MyBest scores are not accepted.

Supplementary application

Submit three evaluation letters through CAAPID; at least two must be from dental professionals. One additional dental-professional letter is optional through CAAPID program materials. No separate supplemental application is required, but Dugoni requires its fee and a dental CV submitted through its emailed Qualtrics form.
